student
leadership
Students are taught to see that leadership is about influencing others, and in this model are given opportunities to develop the character, confidence and skills required to positively alter the spiritual, social and work culture of the college. All students have the potential to develop personal responsibility, to provide peer support, acquire clear communication skills and to learn to serve, honour and respect others; all of which are essential to leadership and young people being strengthened to influence their world with integrity.
Formal student leadership positions also provide the opportunity to practise and grow as a leader.
The appointments to these positions are made by the outgoing leaders and the principal on consideration of a written application and interview.
